The window is short, and it matters
Everything a puppy learns in its first few months is easier to teach now than to correct later. Our puppy programs are built for that window: house training and crate routine, proper socialization, name recognition, and a gentle introduction to sit, down, place and heel. This is reward based work, deliberately different from the e-collar programs we run with older dogs. Once your puppy reaches 20 weeks, about five months, it moves into obedience lessons or a full board and train, with the foundation already in place.

Puppy programs and pricing
Our puppy programs are for puppies 8 to 20 weeks old. From 20 weeks, about five months, your dog moves into the standard obedience lessons and board and train programs. Payment plans are available.
1 Week Puppy Board & Train
One week: potty routine, crate training, socialization, name recognition, intro to sit and down.
2 Week Puppy Board & Train
Two weeks: everything in the 1 week program plus intro to place and heel, and owner field trips.
Puppy Hybrid Program
4 puppy lessons now, then the 2 week e-collar board and train once your pup reaches 20 weeks.

Our puppy programs are listed on the prices page for puppies 8 to 20 weeks old. From 20 weeks, about five months, your dog is old enough for the standard obedience lessons and board and train programs. If you are not sure which side of that line your puppy falls on, call us and we will tell you.
What do the puppy board and train programs cover?
The 1 Week Puppy Board and Train focuses on the potty training routine, crate training, socialization with a demonstration for you, name recognition, how to play with your puppy, and an introduction to sit and down. The 2 Week Puppy Board and Train adds an introduction to place and heel, more socialization, and field trips where we coach you on continuing the training yourself.
What is the Puppy Hybrid Program?
The Puppy Hybrid Program covers both halves of puppyhood in one package. Your puppy gets 4 puppy lessons while it is still young, then a full 2 week e-collar board and train once it reaches 20 weeks and up. It is the option to pick if you want the early foundation and the finished obedience without booking them separately.
Can I start working with my puppy today?
Yes. Off Leash K9 has an Online Puppy Training Course listed on our prices page, with 24 video modules, 8 worksheets and about three hours of content covering potty training, crate work, confidence building and the basic commands taught with a marker and reward. It is a good way to start immediately, and it works alongside our in person programs rather than replacing them.
