Howell sits right on the line between the two counties we work in most, and it is an easy run down to our facility at 333 Atlantic City Blvd in Bayville. Howell owners use us both ways: weekly private lessons for dogs 20 weeks and older, or a one to three week board and train when they would rather drop off and pick up. Puppies from 8 to 20 weeks have their own programs.

Training in Howell
Built for how Howell dogs actually live
Howell is big, spread out and green. Between the Manasquan Reservoir, the trails out toward Allaire on the Wall line and the farms along the back roads, a lot of Howell dogs spend their days somewhere with deer, geese and open ground. A dog with a strong chase drive and a lot of room to use it needs a recall that holds when something runs, and that is the first thing we build.
It is also a commuter town. Route 9, Route 33 and the Interstate 195 corridor run through it, so plenty of Howell dogs spend long stretches of the day at home and then meet everything at once in the evening: the kids, the neighbors, the delivery van and the dog next door. Door manners and a solid place command matter as much here as a good walk.
And Howell is a family town with a lot of young, big dogs in it. Doodles, labs and shepherd mixes that jump on guests, drag their owners down the street and ignore their name are the calls we get most, and they are exactly what the two week board and train is built to fix.

A New Jersey native, she came to dog training after raising her own family and now travels to K9 training seminars around the country to keep the team's methods current. She believes every dog is trainable and every one deserves a fair chance, and the puppy board and train programs are the work she enjoys most.

Our facility is at 333 Atlantic City Blvd in Bayville, down the county from Howell. Plenty of Howell owners do weekly private lessons, and plenty choose a board and train instead, which means one trip to drop off and one to pick up, with a one on one turnover session at the end where we hand the commands over to you.Do you come to my house for lessons in Howell?
No. Our private lessons are not run inside your house. Our own FAQ page says it plainly: contact your local Off Leash K9 certified trainer for the location of their training, because generally we do not like to train dogs inside the house. Lessons happen where your dog has to behave in real life, and board and train dogs stay with their trainer for the whole program.How old does my dog need to be to start?
Private lessons and our standard board and train programs start at 20 weeks old, which is about five months. Younger puppies have their own track: the one and two week puppy board and train programs are for pups 8 to 20 weeks old, and the Puppy Hybrid Program bridges the gap with puppy lessons now and a two week e-collar board and train once your pup reaches 20 weeks.Do you offer payment plans?
