Programs and prices

These are the prices on our website on November 4, 2026. Prices can change; our prices page always has the current ones.

Board and train (20 weeks and older)

Your dog stays with one of our professional trainers at the trainer's home, not in a kennel, and each trainer works with only three dogs at a time. Board and train books out weeks in advance, so call for current start dates.

1 Week Board and Train

$1,600

Home manners only: come, sit, place and down. No leash walking and no work in distracting public places. Includes an e-collar and training leash, and a one-on-one session at pickup.

1 Week Board and Train: Leash Walking and Off Only

$1,600

An on-leash heel to stop pulling or barking on walks, plus fixing over-excitement like jumping on people or counters. Leash walking only, no other commands, and not for aggression. Includes an e-collar and slip lead.

2 Week Board and Train

$3,100

Two weeks of practical obedience around everyday distractions: come, sit, down, place, heel, off, and door, food and greeting manners, with outings to parks, trails, neighborhoods and stores. Includes an e-collar, a year of refreshers, and a 2-hour one-on-one session at pickup.

Behavior Modification Board & Train

$4,200

Three weeks minimum, on leash only, for aggressive or highly reactive dogs, resource guarding and dogs with high anxiety. Includes an e-collar, a year of refreshers, and a 2 to 3 hour one-on-one session at pickup.

Puppy board and train

Board and train built for young puppies under 20 weeks old, before e-collar training starts. The puppy programs do not include the refresher year.

1 Week Puppy Board and Train

$1,200

Potty training routine, crate training, socialization, name recognition, how to play with your puppy, and an introduction to sit and down.

2 Week Puppy Board and Train

$2,400

Everything in the one week puppy program, plus an introduction to place and heel and field trips to coach you on continuing your puppy's training.

Puppies

Regular obedience and e-collar training start at 20 weeks, about five months old. Younger puppies train with marker and reward work, a clicker to mark the behavior followed by a treat, which builds the same foundation. Call us and we will tell you which puppy program fits your puppy's age.

What every board and train includes

  • Your dog stays with a professional trainer at the trainer's home, and each trainer works with only three dogs at a time.
  • A one-on-one session at pickup on the adult programs: about 2 hours after the 2 Week Board and Train and 2 to 3 hours after the Behavior Modification Board & Train.
  • A year of refreshers with the 2 Week Board and Train and the Behavior Modification Board & Train (not the puppy programs).

Frequently misunderstood facts

  • The 1 Week Board and Train is home manners only. It teaches four commands with no leash walking and no work in distracting public places. Off-leash reliability around distractions comes from the 2 Week Board and Train.
  • The leash walking program is leash walking only. The 1 Week Board and Train: Leash Walking and Off Only fixes pulling and jumping. It teaches no other commands and is not for aggressive dogs.
  • Aggression work is its own program. For aggressive or highly reactive dogs, the program is the Behavior Modification Board & Train ($4,200, three weeks minimum, on leash only).
  • Serious aggression is managed, not erased. No trainer can promise a complete fix for dog or people aggression. We give you control and help you manage it, and we tell you that plainly before you book.
  • Your dog does not stay in a kennel. During a board and train your dog lives with a professional trainer at the trainer's home.
  • E-collar training starts at 20 weeks. Younger puppies go through the puppy programs, which use marker and reward work instead.
  • The puppy programs do not include refreshers. The year of refreshers comes with the 2 Week Board and Train and the Behavior Modification Board & Train.
  • Packages are paid in full before scheduling. Once payment is received, we contact you to schedule your training.

What Off Leash K9 Training, Jersey Shore is not

  • Not a kennel. Board and train dogs live with a professional trainer at the trainer's home.
  • Not in-home training. Training happens at our Bayville facility and out in real places with real distractions.
  • Not a quick fix. Board and train programs run one to three weeks, followed by practice at home, and the programs book out weeks in advance.
  • Not a substitute for veterinary care. A medical issue that affects behavior may need a veterinarian alongside training.
  • Not the same business as other Off Leash K9 Training locations. This page covers the Jersey Shore location only, based in Bayville, New Jersey.
